Internal Audits have to be carried out to ensure that the quality management system which has been eastablished, documented and implemented achieves the quality objectives and the intent of policy. It verifies suitability and effectiveness on an ongoing basis and continual improvement of the system.
The internal audits contribute significantly towards improving the system. The internal auditors, therefore require auditing skills, methodology and reporting mechanism for performing and executing audits on the QMS.

Objective
Besides being of the important requirements of ISO 9000 QMS standards, the internal audits are useful in subcontractor evaluation and ensuring continual improvement.
Specifically, the following objectives are achieved :
- quality procedures ar adequately documented and that they comply with the   requirements of the applicable standards.
- the system of documented procedures if implemented effectively.
- the systm achieved the quality objectives and continual improvement is practised.

Certification
A Certificate Successful Completion will be issued to those delegates who satisfactorily
complete the continuous assessment and pass a formal written examination.
Those not wishing to sit in the examination or adjudged not to have reached the required standard of competence will be issued a Certificate of Attendance.
