Health and safety is one of the most important aspects of an organization’s smooth and
effective functioning. Good health and safety performance ensures an accident free
industrial environment. With the continuous and untiring effort of various legislative
authorities as well as NGO’s, the awareness of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)
has improved in India considerably.
The OHSAS 18001 standard prescribes requirements for an Occupational Health &
safety (OH&S) Management system to enable an organization to formulate a policy and
objectives, taking into account legislative requirements and information about
significant hazards and risks, which the organization can control and over which it can be
expected to have an influence, to protect its employees and others, whose health and
safety may be affected by the activities of the organization.
The OH&S management systems may be integrated with the management of other
aspects of business performance in order to :
- minimize risk to employees and others
- improve business performance
- assist organizations to establish a responsible image.
Objective
The objective of the course is to provide training to auditors/ lead auditors for conversion as
OHSAS auditor / lead auditor.
The course meets the requirements for registration of auditors and is certified by PrCert, U.K.
The course is also recognised by NABET / IRCA, U.K.

Certification
This is a PrCERT, U.K. certified course and meets the requirement of registration as Auditor / Lead Auditor
with IRCA / NRBPT. A certificate of successful completion will be issued to delegates
who satisfactorily complete the continuous assessment and written examination, else a Certificate
of Training. The certificates will be issued by CMC International Ltd., U.K.
